Parkinson's Movement Training

Sonoma County Family YMCA - Mondays at 12:30 pm
This class uses a variety of exercises to work on movement strategies targeted for Parkinson’s symptoms, regarding gait, balance, strength and extension. Class may use equipment, including hand weights, bands, balls or partners, seated and standing, stimulating our bodies and stimulating dopamine!

PD-Connect

The founder, Lisa Oei, PT, is absolutely dedicated to the proposition that exercise is medicine. There are 5 classes per week with lectures. Lots of PWR exercises. Currently on Zoom. Payment by donation.

Dr. Maureen Rohlwing teaches this Parkinson’s-specific exercise class with emphasis on Balance, Aerobics, Strength, Integration, and eXcellence. It focuses on posture, agility, and cognitive health and is suitable for all levels of exercise ability.
No fee required - donations are greatly appreciated. PD-Connect is a nonprofit organization that strives to offer education and exercise to those with Parkinson’s disease virtually and at locations throughout the Bay Area.
