Kathy asked that Board Members think about PSGSC members that they think might be interested in joining the Board next year. At present there are two openings.
Kathy asked that present Board members let her know if they feel they have to leave the Board. She thanked everyone for serving and hoped that all would return.
Mary’s Pizza Dine and Donate fundraiser will be Wednesday, October 5. Kathy
was unable to reserve the back room for a lunch group but we will all be seated together at the back of the restaurant under the clock or outside with 4 tables of five set together. Coupons will be available at the meeting, on the website and through emails. Kathy urged everyone to give coupons to friends and family.
LSVT LOUD Scholarship:
Kathy distributed an information sheet detailing the various LSVT LOUD programs available in our area along with information about the purpose of the programs, where they are offered, the requirements and finally the commitments needed for the programs. Along with this information is the announcement that the Board has set aside limited funds for scholarships that would pay 75% of the cost of the program.
This will be sent out as an email to the entire PSGSC membership with Sandy G. listed as the contact person. It will also be announced at the October meeting along with having printed copies available.
Gloria, Nancy, Sandy G and Kathy produced this information sheet based on discussion from our previous Board meetings. A review of the information notice produced no additions or changes and it was enthusiastically accepted on a motion by Suzanne and seconded by Art.
We will wait one month for response and then discuss our next scholarship proposal.
Resources for Wellness:
Marc continues to work on organizing our effort to present a training program for PD Wise.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m. by Chair, Kathy Osbun. The next Board meeting will be October 19, 2016 at the Brush Creek Senior Living.
